1. Customer-Directed Support
Office Tech Care provides remote technology support only in response to a customer request or other appropriate customer authorization. We do not represent that we are a manufacturer support department unless expressly stated.
2. Remote Access Authorization
Remote access, screen sharing, remote-control tools, or similar access may be used only when appropriate for the requested service and after the customer has been informed of the purpose of the access and has provided appropriate authorization.
3. Customer Control
Customers may end a remote session when technically feasible. Customers should not provide access to accounts, files, systems, or devices that are outside the requested support scope.
4. Credentials and Sensitive Information
Customers should never send full payment-card information, CVV codes, PINs, online-banking passwords, one-time authentication codes, or other highly sensitive credentials through ordinary support email or the website contact form. If a credential is required for a legitimate support task, the support agent will use an appropriate secure method where available.
5. Scope and Third-Party Systems
Remote support can be affected by internet connectivity, device condition, operating-system restrictions, third-party software, manufacturer restrictions, account policies, outages, and other conditions outside our control. Work outside the approved scope may require additional authorization or a separate service.
6. Customer Data
Customers should back up important data before allowing support activity whenever practical. Office Tech Care is not a substitute for an independent backup strategy. Where support requires interaction with files or settings, the customer remains responsible for maintaining appropriate backups unless a separate written backup service has been purchased.
7. No Unauthorized Access
We do not authorize customers or personnel to access systems without permission, bypass security controls without authorization, deploy malware, or perform activity that violates applicable law or third-party terms.
8. Completion Confirmation
Where a service is completed, customer confirmation may be documented through an electronic signature, DocuSign, email acknowledgment, portal confirmation, ticket closure, or other appropriate record. Such records may be retained for service administration and dispute resolution.
